I used to use an editor called pico, but when i installed drake 7.2 it didn't load it, I found it in an editor called joe, but when i installed it, and went to use pico, i got message - command not found.

I checked the files that are in joe, and it says that pico is in the /usr/bin dir, but it is not there, where can i get pico from, it's a great little editor.

I like it, too. It's very easy to use.

If I'm not mistaken, pico came with pine. If you've joe, you can do jpico to make joe act like pico http://www.linuxnewbie.org/ubb/biggrin.gif

Also, an alternative to pico is nano. Nano is open source (unlike pico) and already has more features than pico itself. I'd recommend using that instead, you can find it on freshmeat.

WOOT! Nano rules! I'm still gonna use vi for some more complex stuff, but nano for others http://www.linuxnewbie.org/ubb/biggrin.gif

configure's right. Thanks for the reminder.....

Antipop:

Is nano as easy to use as pico? I think I'll give it a try.

You're right. I just downloaded and installed nano. It's small and seems to work just like pico.
