i'm using Sis620 vga Card which is Slot 1 chipset with 8MB frame buffer shared from system memory....the problem is my card is not detected under LInux (i'm using redhat 6.0 with kernel 2.2.5...i've tried using the other sis card but when I fired up X server, the screen is scrambled, even if I decrease the resolution , there is still no response... but now nothing seem to work, even the limited success achieved in vga16 with low resolution. I'd be eternally grateful if you could point out where I did wrong....thanks in advance

Go to http://www.xfree86.org for a new version of the X-Window program. Your version might be too old to support the SIS module that supports the 620.
