Removal of splash screen in KDE2?

Is it possible to remove the splash screen that appears while KDE2 is booting up in Mandrake 7.2?

I'm sorry... this dowsn't help you. I don't know how to do that (while I'm sure it is possible as most things are http://www.linuxnewbie.org/ubb/smile.gif ) but why?

I really like Mandrake 7.2 but it just has that cartoon feel to it.

I wish Mandrake would have just left the original nice looking KDE2 splash instead of that stupid cartoon penguin.
