Hello everyone, I was wondering if anyone knows where can i find linux drivers for my Promise ATA contoller card; I downloaded the file from www.promise.com (http://www.promise.com) for RedHat but suprisingly it doesn't work. I made a different boot disk with it but the installations hangs up at the same point as before (after requesting irq's for ide2) Also, as far as I know, the system cannot find ide2 on the first place if it doesn't had the drivers for it, but mine does even without the promise boot disk. And as I said before it halts after requesting irq for the ide2 (there is nothing attached to ide3) Any suggestions? Thank you for your help in adavance.

I seem to remember reading some information on this on: http://mandrakeuser.org

Check it out.

The promise drivers are only for RedHat 6.0. Try reading this through one time.
