I happen to have access to two different laptops at work. I'd like to be able to
use one HD for linux on both but I don't think I can...

I did a regular install, on laptop A, and everything works. I try popping the HD into
laptop B, and expect to have X windows and some peripheral modules barf, but almost immediately, I get a kernel panic.

Is it possible to have a dual linux boot install? i.e.: have one lilo entry use partition /dev/hdaA for the stuff specific to laptop A, and /dev/hdaB for laptop B?

Thanks for any help.

I would imagine you probably could.
