How difficult would it be to install my Ati Wonder TV Tuner/vid capture in linux?

I am having a really crappy time trying to get it to work in windows.

What steps would I have to take to get the card working?

Thank you,
Aaron

Check this link (http://www.linuxvideo.org/gatos/) for some info. I've used the GATOS package that comes with Debian 2.2r2 on an older All-In-Wonder(Rage II+ chip) with some success. Video capture wasn't as one would like and no audio capture. Although I was able to watch TV from the tuner and composite(RCA jack) video-in.(S-VID had no color) I also tried the same package with a Rage Fury 128 and seperate PCI TV-Wonder card without any success.

I haven't had the desire to try any of the newer packages you may find at the link above. They may have better support than I have experienced.

Uhh that isn't very reassuring :-)

I know ssadams ( I think that's his name ) has had success with the same card I have but he hasn't replied in a while. I was kinda hoping for really nice quality video grab...I have a lot of HDD space and I wanted to move some of my videos to my comp..I don't think my vid capture card will do vcr quality but it will do close to it...

Your odds aren't very good as the ati decided to use an odd chipset that isn't supported by linux(every freaking other tuner card is though....just about anyway..)

thi ati tv vonder works great with Mach64 chips under linux.I dont know about all the rage128 but I do know it would not work with an ati RageFuryMaxx so I dumped that card for a Mach64 8 mb and it works fine.in modules conf or conf modules I added these lines.
pre-install bttv modprobe -k tuner
options bttv card=9
options tuner type=2
post-remove modprobe -r tuner

Hmm..

I wouldn't want to ditch my TNT 2 or my Geforce2 MX for a Mach64 based card.

Stupid ATI tech support hasn't e-mailed me back..It's only been about a week.

Maybe if I can find a cheap Mach64 card I will give it a go....If I had a little more money I would just make the leap to a hauppauge PVR tv tuner....nice nice card.

Whoops, forgot to mention thank you for your help.
