I wanna delete mandrake 8.0 off the partition i made to run freebsd instead but i dont know how to completly wipe the partition, i tried Fdisk and partition magic but both of them do not show my linux partition can anyone help, freebsd wont let me install to the linux partition unless i wipe it. Help!

this may be a dodgy solution, but I pop the first mandrake installation cd into the computer, then it goes into setup. When I get asked what partition method I want i choose custom. Then I use the disk partitioning program that is in setup to delete the partitions. Then say ok, it will save the change to the MBR then reboot.
Then you might wanna run fdisk /mbr
Hope that helps tho it's probably not the right/safe way to do it. Use as last resort I'd suggest!
