scroll lock modifications

how do some people map their keyboards to have the scroll lock blink when they get an instant message or and e-mail?
is their a webpage or FAQ anywhere that will teach me.

Well, the setleds program can do that, so they may be using another program to call setleds. man setleds for more info.
