I'm looking at getting what I need to put together a pretty decent comp for college here. A T-bird 1.2 GHz system with 512 MB DDR RAM, GeForce3 video card, CDRW, DVD, etc. will only set me back $1850 + shipping. I'm working on a less expensive system just in case my parents don't jump for the good one. Anybody ever gotten anything from these folks?

Any recommendations for a college comp? (I'm open to any and all suggestions)

Thanks in advance,
BTBGuy

anyway, check www.resellerratings.com (http://www.resellerratings.com)
they have a lot of posts, overall a pretty decent rating compared to many

$1850USD sounds high to me, unless there are other goodies not mentioned (huge monitor, etc). Here are some round numbers based on the specs you gave:

$110 .... mobo (iwill kk266 w/ sound)
$102 .... 1.2 tbird
$325 .... geforce3
$100 .... cdrw
$65 .... dvd
$90 .... 512MB pc133 cas2 RAM
$120 .... ibm 40gig 7200rpm 60GXP
$65 .... case

What wattage power supply with that case? AMD doesn't recommend anything less than 350 for the 1.33 and up, and I'd like some room to grow...(maybe a DVD-R sometime down the road...)
