I'd like to create a partition on my disk to build my own Linux, with everything compiled from the sources (included kernel and KDE). I think I'll have to use my SuSe Linux to boot and to format the partition, and then, I don't know if I can try to compile the kernel with my SuSe system, and then put it on the other partiton to make an independant system. What other thing will I have to put with it ? (I guess I'll have to put bash, but again, how can I build it and install it ? Can I do this without SuSe ? I'm waiting for your comments and suggestions !!!
