Trying linux for the first time, install goes well with Linux Mandrake 8.0. When installation is done, monitor is really screwed up on the reboot. I'm guesing I'm not hitting the right settings on the video hardware setup near the end of the installation. It's a Thinkpad 760EL LCD screen that supports 800x600 16 color though Windows. Can anyone help me on the correct monitor settings. I've also plugged it into a high end external monitor to rule out the LCD, but that doesn't work either. Help!
