Mounting directories to another machine

I am setting up two machines that will serve the same purpose. I am trying to mirror them exactly. How do I mount the /home directory of one machine to as /home on the other machine? Also, anyone know how to use an NT domain controller as your user/password administrator?

NFS or samba can be used. For the authentication, check into NIS and yellow pages.
