I'm planning to network a couple of Linux boxs together. Any recommendations on which ethernet card would be the best?

Check your distros hardware compatability list. All depends on your distro and version.

most newer distros will support cards from this (http://hardware.redhat.com/redhatready/cgi-bin/us/db-hcl.cgi) list, but you should double check the web site for the distro you are using

if a card is on that list as un supported, avoid it
if it is listed as ? then is may or may not work
