Hi!
I'm a bit new to this Linux stuff. So pls bear wif me ...
Question:
I want to d/l the lastest SuSE (v7.2) frm their ftp. But is this an evaluation version (ie it will die after x no. of days?) cuz the filename seems to imply that it's an evaluation copy.
thanks :D

The SuSE Live Eval edition is designed for evaluating Linux, and therefore it runs on a Windows partition, meaning that if you don't like it, you haven't messed up your harddrive. AFAIK there is no time limit on it.

I'm not positive about this and it's just from what I've read here, but you have to either purchase the retail package or download all the separate components individually to install SuSE. The iso's available via download are all evaluations.

I would suggest trying out something else. Maybe mandrake 8.0 is to your liking. Its free and fully downloadable.
You can do a FTP-install. Unfortunate the last version 7.2 is no avaliable yet, but 7.1 is. It might be a bit tricky, but definitely worth it :D.
