If yes, what one and how do you like it? thanks, Gary mdwatts 02-20-2002, 07:29 PM What type of multifunction device are we talking about? Have you tried a Google search for whatever one you are thinking about? You may get some ideas of whether it's supported or not. gary_r_james 02-20-2002, 09:16 PM By multifunction device I mean a printer, scanner, copier all-in-one. I have not even begun to make a selection because I wanted to start with what is Linux compatible. My question has received no response so I may have to search as recommended. I usually like to start with actual users recommendations first but that may not be possible here. Thanks, Gary mdwatts 02-21-2002, 06:54 AM Sometime ago when I was setting up a few pc's for the store owner in my building (only Windows), I also configured his Canon 3500 (I think it was) printer/copier/fax etc. When I was configuring my printer for Linux I noticed in my distro that the Canon 3500 was listed as a supported device. I don't know how much or whether all the functions were supported. I would suggest you pick a brand/model and do some searching. Google is a good place to start and perhaps freshmeat.net may have specific applications for certain multifunction devices. bugfix 02-21-2002, 07:13 AM Here's a list of HP multi-function Linux support: Link-o-rama (http://hp-linux.org/hw-support/list?category=4) justlinux.com
