Power supply Emachines

We have an eMachines 366c and it has always had an subtle but annoying high pitched whine from the power supply/fan combo. I've replaced the cpu fan so I know it's from the power supply. Are there quiet power supplies sold and if so is there any reason I have to stick with eMachines offerings as long as I replace the power supply with the correct specs?

From the few Emachines I have seen the only non standard thing about them is that they are half height. If you can find such a beastie then go replace it. You might find it better to just save up your money and build your own. This is why building you own over taking a pre built system is better. You get more control over your system.
