I am running Mandrake 7.2 with the latest iptables and such.. How can I limit the bandwith to a port / or IP address? Any help would be greatly appriciated!

you probably have to do it though the server software, i dont think theres any ipchains/table options for that kind of thing, so if you use ncftpd on port 21 you have to configure the .cf file with the max dl speed etc

It is for a game server at an ISP. It will have multiple games on it so that Some will be able to limit bandwidth and some won't. Thats why I need a Linux or third party software solution.

I believe squid can do something like this. Not sure, though, as I've never used it before...
