well subj , how is linux stable for overclocking ? is it more stable than win2k ? ... and what good program to find out CPU temp under linux?

I can't comment on Win2k but I have oc'ed my Linux NAT/Firewall/DHCP server/Print Server/Router and I generally let it run for weeks/months before I reboot it. Search for a cpu temp monitor at freshmeat.net

Abit, but I don't think they even support it anymore, because the last few times I checked the site was down.

Whatever utilities Gentus put in their distro was generally available. What they did (and received lots of flack over) was to further modify that code without releasing the modified source to the public.
