Do any of you know of a microATX motherboard with integrated video/audio/lan/modem and a free AGP port that will work ok with linux?
The PCChips 810LMR motherboard looks pretty good, but I have no idea how linux will handle all the integrated components.

I have a PC100 M599LMR Motherboard and i have ran Mandrake and Slackware on it, it's got onboard video/lan/modem/sound/ although i only use the video. I've taken the lan and modem out and put my own external modem on. I have never tried to get the sound working though.
Hope this helps.

You almost had me sold on that one. I looked at the Amptron site, and that motherboard is 100% linux compatible, with all the drivers ready for download...but i really need it to be a socket A motherboard. I should have put that in my first post, sorry about that. Thanks anyway.
Anyone else have any ideas?

take a look > http://www.cosmoseng.com/LinuxPC.php
"...the Linux PC is small enough to fit on anyone's desktop, but it's built sturdy enough to support a 19" monitor. The thinking inside the box is done by an Intel Celeron processor running on custom *micro ATX motherboard* using the Intel 810 chipset and up to 512MB of SDRAM. AGP Video, 3D Sound, 100Mhz ethernet, 56K modem and Ultra DMA IDE are all provided on board.
Noting this says *custom* has me wondering, but it sounds to me like a fairly stock board versus your description. I'd give it a try. Any good computer store will allow returnabilty or echange due a pre-announced potential for incompatibility. Tell them what you're doing. A good shopgeek will understand and if he does, he'll get you a board that will work if that one doesn't.
*add: is this the M810 LMR Micro ATX Socket A in question? with Duron/Athlon Support. as for Linux compaitibilty, I still say go for it. You shoulkd at least get video to run. Fix stuff from there :]
