MBMarduk 06-20-2001, 07:11 PM Sorry, but AFAIK you'll need atleast 2-4MB to run 'bash' alone! (I think 1-2MB for 'ash' if I'm not mistaken.) So... Derango 06-20-2001, 07:20 PM Nope, X windows dosen't even run smoothly in 32Mb of ram, let alone 1 ;) You might be able to get a very, very small command line only version of linux on there. bdg1983 06-20-2001, 07:47 PM The new KDE 2.2 is supposed to be able to run in a 1MB pc. Has not everyone read about this already? And I thought I was slow keeping up with all new. ;) Actually you'll be lucky to get the commandline/console to work with that amount of memory with one of the standard distros. I would suggest you try some of the previous suggestions for a small linux footprint posted in the forums or do a web search for same. Good luck. justlinux.com
