What else have you tried so far and what are the contents of your /etc/fstab? czgu 06-07-2001, 03:43 PM Sound card works. I can play .rm files using realplayer 8. cdrom works for data cd, no mounting problem. put audio cd into cdrom, it plays without sound. I have win98 installed in the same computer. the cdrom works fine in win98. bdg1983 06-08-2001, 06:39 AM I've never bothered to even try to play a audio CD myself with Linux, so I can just suggest what I've seen others post here. Have you checked the mixer to ensure the volume is turned up and also nothing is muted? jaygee432 06-08-2001, 03:52 PM Have idea what else you missed, had to do it myself. Set up app for playing audio cds so it is linked to /dev/cdrom. ;) justlinux.com
