I have recently acquired a second hard drive for my computer and am wanting to install it along with the main hard drive. I want to run Linux on one hard drive and Windows 2000 Professional on the other. Any help on how I would go about doing this? Many Thanks in advance!

Sure, you can do that. I think that LILO will detect WIN2K on the other HD, but I am not for sure on that one.
Whenever I did this, however, I had to go into the BIOS every time and manually specify what HD I wanted to boot from.

When you installed W2K, did you convert to NTFS or keep FAT32? I've always dual booted Windows 98 and Mandrake with th euse of GRUB on the Windows MBR. If you are looking at Mandrake, I can highly recommend GRUB. When I installed Windows 2000, I started booting Red Hat 7.1 from a floppy... which though a little slow, works just fine. I'll be watching this thread, as I have been very reticent to mess with the Windows 2000 bootloader on my first hard drive. In any case, a floppy does work without making you have to change bios settings all the time. Ellie
