Hey ok
I just started using mandrake on a crap computer i have to learn more about it.
I was wondering if I wanted to start usng mandrake or red hat or any other linux as my main system(instead of windows Yeah I know but I'm a gamer) how hard will it be to find video card drivers.
I have tried Red Hat before and as of 7.1 my VooDoo3500 wouldn't work. Will it on Mandrake?

And where can I find a list of compatible cards for some of thr distros?

Thankx

(Please ignore my grammar it's too late for me to care) :p

The RH hardware list is here:
http://hardware.redhat.com/

I prefer Mandrake as it is eaiser to setup hardware for newbies.

Mandrake 8 uses X version 4.?? I believe, so I would start by searching for your voodoo at www.xfree86.org (http://www.xfree86.org) to see if it's supported and by which version.

Being that Nvidia bought out that technology from 3dfx, try nvidia's site in the linux drivers section, i think i saw a link to 3dfx information.Nvidia (http://www.nvidia.com)
