help i want to reinstall

i have just upgraded my mandrake 7.0 to 8.0.
i want to reinstall because it boots both my graphic cards.
When i try and boot to cdrom it keeps giving me the lilo option.
I have disabled all my drives in the bios except the cd rom and it still happens.

You disabled all the drives except for the cdrom?

Did you change the boot order to cdrom first which is usually under the Advanced Features?

If your bios does not support booting from cdrom, you will need to use a bootdisk.

Firstly, you could add CDROM to your LILO list by adding /dev/cdrom to your lilo.conf file (don't forget to run lilo before rebooting).

Alternately, I think you can specify this at the LILO prompt by typing boot=/dev/cdrom (but I'm not positive)

To me, this would indicate that the cdrom has not been set as the first boot device in the bios.

I have disabled all my drives in the bios except the cd rom and it still happens.

I assumed you had only disabled all but the cdrom in the main bios menu setup without actually changing the boot order.

Have you tried clearing the NVRAM then try and boot to the cd?
