I keep getting this dependency error.

I have SuSE 7.1 and I'm trying to upgrade the modutils to 2.4.4-1. I get two dependency errors. I thought you only get those when you try to remove a package. All I wanna do is upgrade it. Is there a way around this?

Nope, download the dependencies and install those as well.
