Hi,

I'm new to the Linux thing. I just got Mandrake 7.0 up and running today. However I have a wierd problem with my system which I hope somebody can shed some light upon.

I have a Logitech Cordless MouseMan mouse. From what I've read on this site I know other people have these mice working just fine. My problem is that things seem to work OK for 95% of the time but every 30 seconds or so the mouse pointer just goes beserk, hyperspacing off to some random part of the screen, sometimes even a few clicks occur. Very disconcerting!

I've edited the XF86Config file as per the instructions on the Xfree site. So I know that it specifies a MouseManPlusPS/2 protocol. I'm pretty sure that its setup correctly.

Maybe there is some trick that someone out there knows to get rid of this problem.

I would try changing your batteries. My mother uses the same mouse (only in windows) and when ever it does that it is time to change the batteries.
