WinXP not loggin into Samba.

Do anyone know how to fix this? On our Linux server we have we don't have no login name and password, and WinXP will not accept blank text fields. Do you think it would be best to add a user and password? Or is there something I could type into the text fields to get it to login.

I say just create a username "user" and password "user" and tape that to the monitor.

Or will XP let you choose a username and have an empty password? That might be something to try.

also something that was true but may not be anymore you used to have to download a patch to add nebios support back into XP in order for it to work with samba. Samba team may have fixed that now but I remember reading it at one time.
