Click to See Complete Forum and Search --> : slack-current, hp, USB K'brd and Mouse Problem
Kinda specific, I want to use slack-current but it will not see my USB K'brd and mouse, which connects thru my keyboard (HP 9694). SLack 7.1 (2.2.16 - I think) has no problem but when I attempt to run the slack-current ISO install, it wont see the keyboard (error : AT keyboard not present). I had the same problem when attempting to upgrade to 2.4.2.
Hoping that someone has the same setup and can help.
Thanks

I have no experience with usb keyboards but only with usb mice. In your case I would borrow me a ps2 keyboard for installation.
Since Slack-current still uses the 2.2.x kernel they probably don't have activated the usb support.
Or you download a 2.4.5 bootimage and rawwrite it to floppy (perhaps this image is also on the cd but not the default bootimage - you should check this first).
Finally, do you have enabled native usb keyboard support in your bios?

Yeah, I did all that. its funny but it works in 2.2.16 with no other config adjustments.
