Hi all, now is there away to get my MS Sidewinder to work under RedHat 7.1 without recompiling kernels and stuff like that? I install the joystick setup program off the RedHat 7.1 CD but that's just about it. I just want to play the ZSnes Emulator with a joystick... :D

sure! what do you have the joystick hooked up to? (e.g. usb, sound card (and type of sound card)...
try modprobe joydev modprobe gameport and see what modules are under /lib/modules/2.4.2something/kernel/char/joy (or soemthing similar) and do a modprobe on the appropriate driver, e.g. modprobe sidewinder if you are connected to a sound blaster live then also do a modprobe ns558
