I want to install a rpm and I have all the files it is dependent on, but it keeps saying that i need libsigc++, the thing is mandrake installed it and named it libsigc++-mdk so i think the rpm doesn't see that and is looking for libsigc++ when it is named libsigc++-mdk so it thinks i haven't installed it...What should i do? Is there a way to make the rpm look at that folder? Or should i just rename the folder?

You could try renaming the folder as you suggested or you could use the force option to install the rpm. What is the worst that could happen? Oh well, fragging your system is a learning experience too! :D
