What's going on guys? I'm trying to install Gnome 1.4 on Slackware 7.1, and this is the problem I'm having. I download Gnome 1.4 and then untar the file and then cd into the directory, I then type ./configure and it does it's thing. Before it gets finished it stops and says this:
checking for Glade libraries >= 0.14.. not found
configure: error: You need a least libglade 0.14 for this version of gnome-core
So I say ok I will get libglade 0.14 and install it. I go and download it and install it. Then I check to see where it is:
whereis libglade
libglade: /usr/local/lib/libglade.so /usr/local/lib/libglade.la /usr/local/lib/libglade.a
So now I think everything is ok, so I cd back into the gnome directory and type ./configure, and I get the same message:
checking for Glade libraries >= 0.14.. not found
configure: error: You need a least libglade 0.14 for this version of gnome-core
What am I doing wrong? Has anyone else had this problem? Please help. Thanks...
