how do you find out your dhcp assigned address from the linux box ?

If you are a RedHat, or perhaps Mandrake, "pump" is a wonderful utility. It will A: get your DHCP box, and fill in all your info for you. B: pump -s will tell all about the lease and it's renewal, and attend to it at the appropriate time. I would _guess_ this could likely be used on many systems. Ray

Pump is also included with debian, thats how I got my cable connection up and running.
