Hacking a gnome theme

Hi,

I downloaded a theme for gnome but there is one thing wrong w/ it. I wanted to change how it works. when I look in the directory w/ all the images I also see a theme.jl file. The code in this file is alien to me. does anyone know where I can learn how to 'program' a gnome theme?

The Gnome themes website? They should at least have links to other sites with tutorials.
