I need to be able to watch a video for college but it's a .mov quicktime that refuses to play. At first it was just a black rectangle with the usual movie buttons at the bottom. Then, I downloaded MPlayer and now there is an MPlayer logo that refuses to buffer. I downloaded a bunch of plugins that looked promising but it was all in vain. I apologize for not giving the address for the video. Instead I'll show you the first quicktime videos I found that I can't currently watch. They have a big quicktime logo but no movie: http://trailers.apple.com/trailers/disney/toystory3/
Thanks in advance for all your help!

I must admit I don't know much about linux so please keep it simple! Also, I can't do any sudo commands in the terminal. (I'm borrowing a computer and don't have all the permissions).

Went to that link and clicked on the Bathroom Escape watch now link and the cache would stall at around 96%. But think it has a problem auto-detecting the resolution to play. I click on the down arrow, choose 1080p and it played fine after buffering. Using firefox4 and gnome-mplayer.

Hmmm....It's still not working. However, I downloaded the video that I needed and after I updated the plugins it works. I still can't watch any quicktime videos online.....If someone has any thoughts on that I'd greatly appreciate them! Thanks!
