I tried to serach the archives but the search went haywire. I looked through the NHF's but couldn't find anthing relevant, maybe someone here can help me - as a user I have to enter the root password everytime I invoke kppp, how do i get round this? i.e. how do i give my user rights to invoke the kde internet dialler - generally how do i give my user rights to bypass root password requests?

You need to set permissions on some files in /etc/ppp (assuming you're using Slackware--not sure how other distros have it set up).

I think sudo does that, I don't use sudo myself.
