What distro should I use for an easy (graphical) set up and configuration of x windows?
Also, I need one that will detect my NIC card for broadband.
The PC is a 1.8 Sony Vaio.

Are you trying to hijack this thread ;) You better start a new topic.
GreatWhiteShark, the three 'big distros' are SuSE, Mandrake and RedHat. They are all very easy to set up and come with graphical installers that will hold your hand .

Um..okay? So what do you want to do now? If you want to get into X, run startx.
