ive been trying to install EveryBuddy and LMME so that i can use MSN messenger, but i am having problems wiht installation. i keeps ejecting the CD and asking for a CDROM, or it has problems with sh. is there a good messenger engine for linux that interprets MSN? Thanks. Oh one more thing, isnt "make" supposed to be a command? (im using mandrake) at the terminal window, "make" does not seem to be recognized
THANKS

Which distro are you using? Chances are there is already a binary file you can install instead of having to compile.

Missing make? You probably didn't install the development packages. There are lots of other posts on this very same problem about the infamous 'missing make'.

Also, if you have no luck with everybuddy like many people, try gaim (http://gaim.sourceforge.net). But again, I believe there are rpms for the latest version (0.54) on their site. The Everybuddy site doesn't seem to have been updated recently and they haven't released a stable version for a while so I switched to gaim which is much more stable and supports more protocols/features.

You could try imici (http://www.imici.com), that comes precompiled and provides a link to MSN. I find it's not very stable :( but it's small and does the job.
