Hello all,
I have a simple question. I am having a very very hard time setting up
my linux to print.

I am running red hat 7.2

the printer is a Konica 7051 with a Ip 302 that means that the printer
has a static Ip address to it.

the ip address 192.168.1.242

Well I go to the terminal to run printtool it comes up. I pick the
option on the first screen that says unix printer . I enter the ip
address but in the next menu I can't find a konica printer. So what I
use is a stander Hp LaserJet printer.

It use to work before when I ran 7.0 So if anyone could help me out
with this simple problem I would really be happy

Thank you.

In most printer manuals at the front, you will find a section with compatible printer drivers you can use. Also try the Manufacturers website. Try without any filter just print raw to the printer.

Do you mean a 7150 or 7050P

;)
