I have tried linux a couple times before(mainly redhat), and am not a complete newbie, I have got halflife working with wine(what else matters?:P) Then removed it at one time or another for whatever reason..Anyways Im going to give it a shot again with my brand new comp, with an 80 gig hd.

I was thinking about trying mandrake 8.2, but I am duel booting and was wondering how much space to give it...I dont want to give it to much incase I give up on it(again), but I want to give it enough incase I start actively using it.. How much should I give it for a full installation + use...Would 10 gigs be enough?

And how well does linux take it if you would resize it later with something like Partition magic? Someone told me they have had problems doing that before..

10G will be fine. I've divided one of my 40G drives into (3) 10G partitions, with the remaining space unallocated (for now). One of those holds my Mandrake 8.0 install, and another has Win98 on it. Even with a fairly full custom install of Mandy, I've still got plenty of free space on that partition.

...well...I have 40gigs allocated on my drive. One partition is entirely for my MP3's and files I want on backup all the time. The other 40 is all for Linux. Windows...BAH!
