Hi..all, i just want try linux using redhat 7.1.
after installation complete, i want to try make internet connection
with kppp.
i can logging to my isp, but in terminal window have message like
this
"couldn't find interface ppp():nosuch device" and "kernel support ppp
alright".(2 line)
when i try to ping any ip or domain, i can get the connection, but
when i try using netscape/moziac or opera, i can't get any
connection, i use dns no and proxy address from my isp.
Note *) that dns and proxy working fine with my win2000.
so.., is anyone know which wrong with my redhat ?

Thats normal and is not a failure.

Did you tell netscape to use the proxy? The setting is under Edit -> Preferences -> Advanced -> Proxies.

Can you ping the proxy?

hi.., thanks for try to help me.

i can't set the proxy into netscape, it said, the proxy not found/available, but with the same proxy i can use in netscape at win2000, that what i'm sure the proxy address is correct.
