I realize now that my question was not very specific. What I'm wondering is how do I configure pine, or elm, or emacs so that it will get my email from my Yahoo and work accounts. As far as I can tell, the three of those client think that my email address is my hostname@mycomputername, and I'm wondering if it's possible to change that in non-GUI email clients. I'd appreciate any help I get on this, and thanks to those that answered my previous question :)

I have pine set up to "send mail from" every email account I have.

I use fetchmail for this purpose. It will go poll any number of accounts, on any time schedule, and pull the mail into your mail spool. Then, pine, or anything will read it. You may want to use something like netscape, which pulls the mail directly from your accounts. I have used Kmail, which also does that, as will Evolution. But, fetchmail and Evolution is the combo I have most enjoyed.
