I have RH6.2, Apache, PHP, and MySQL all setup and everything works. I downloaded the ColdFusion 4.5.2 for Linux package from www.allaire.com (http://www.allaire.com) and I can't seem to get my sample MySQL DB to show up as a datasource under ColdFusion Administrator. I would like to port an application I made from CFML over to PHP but I don't want to be forced to install MS Windows and Win32 versions of everything else I have setup. The Allaire KnowledgeBase support doesn't have anything on it and MySQL has about 5 paragraphs about the 2 products together.
Anyone out there??

Noticed the same question posted in another forum.

You may also want to follow that one.

I have searched around for an answer but there isn't anything close to a HOWTO or a NHF which I have come to love and adore. :p
A couple sites talk about getting this library and that file and compile them together but I think that was on the Solaris platform.

MySQL.com and Allaire.com seem to gloss over the topic daying that it can be done but they give no details as to how it is done.

Still searching ...........

And contemplates another install .. *grin*

I note that there are three flavours of Cold Fusion server ... which one did you pull down?
