I had never heard of 'wharf' until I read a chapter in one of my Linux books on TurboLinux last night. This from the book. This is an interactive button bar: when you click once on an icon or botton, a string of buttons representing programs, utilities, tools, or "managers" shoots out. A single click on one of these buttons opens its program, or utility, or whatever. The Wharf is not easily configurable, but it can be hidden: middle-click (or double-click) on the Program button to hide the entire toolbar; to reveal it again, click on it once more. Now it mentions that the Application Launcher is basically the same as Wharf, except it is more configurable. Right-click on the Launcher and choose Configure to change it's location. Hope it helps some. justlinux.com
