I'm having intermittent trouble with my network card. It always makes kernel messages like the following:

I had a similar problem with my Intel card built into the motherboard. It turned out that there was a bug that stopped it working at Gigabit speeds. Simply using it at 100Mbps was sufficient to solve that one.

Looks like it may be a duff card, though. Can you swap it out for an identical model?
