I think you're not routing the Linux computer. If you're using RedHat/Mandrake run linuxconf and set it up. Ping the computer doing the routing as well to see if you can at least contact that computer, then go from there.

...Ok I think thats what I need to do but how would I do that...All I can find are articles telling how to setup linux as a router...like, getting online through linux...I wanna do that through windows. Right now, I can surf the web when I have the AnalogX proxy running on windows but, like I said, thats all I can do...no chat, irc, ftp, mail...none of that...any help is appreciated..

You may have these services disabled in ? /etc/services. I'm not an expert on this, so I would suggest you start by reading one of the Security NHF's here.

http://www.linuxnewbie.org/nhf/intel/security/securehome.html

That should get you started and then you can search for other resources from what you find in the NHF.

What software are you using to have Windows act as a router?

I'm not using anything as a router...I have AnalogX as a proxy...thats it.
