my wife got me a wireless mouse (http://www.googlestore.com/product.asp?catid=4&code=go42049) ...

we were able to get it to work with windows but somehow i cant get it up in linux ...

can somebody share some tips or tricks how to make this thingy to work ?

btw, im using ubuntu hardy ...

I wouldn't expect you to have any problems getting that to work, unless they've done something very non-standard with it. Does anything show up in dmesg when you plug in the dongle? Do you have another mouse on the system? X may not be configured to handle multiple mouse inputs.

after twidling around this thingy i found the culprit for my problem ...

At the company I work at, one or the IT techs (not employed here any more) was using a wireless mouse and keyboard. The mouse quit working, he rebuilt his system, it ended up being low batteries.
