I've downloaded the 2 ISO files for RH7.1(thanks to the guys telling me which to get)
After booting from CD, I use normal mode, but when it finished with loading the stuff(last line.../sbin/loader..)I see the blue screen, but my PC freezes everytime at that point, I only see the blue screen and nothing happened after a long time.
I also tried it with expert and text mode, but with the same result...
Did anybody had the same problem?
I got a PCI Geforce, cuz I've disabled my old AGP-onboard graphic, may that cause the trouble, or is it a problem with the data on the CD?
Thx a lot!

Y, I'm having problems with the installation freezing on me. Sounds like a problem with my hd and I've repartitioned it several times. Installation gets very old when I have to continuously go through the process of selecting individual packages :(.

Replacing rh 7.0. It gets to 'installation begins' immediately after the 'logging installation' message. The drive whirls for about a second, stops and
installation freezes on a blank screen except for the install header/footer.

During install questions, I select automatic partitioning/formating. I've tried manual partitioning with drak and receive the same result. Perhaps I need
to wipe my drive clean? Partition with fdisk? Seems strange considering I just had 7.0 on the drive.

i had similar problems with 7.1. i d/l'ed twice. after talking to several other people all who have had the same experience, i would say the the iso is broke.
i am not a fan of RH. i PAID for 5.1{pos}
and the support from RH on that buggy mess was a joke.
i gave them a second chance and they failed.
i got Storm{Debian based} instead and i am very pleased with.

Yeah, I think sth. is definetely wrong with the ISO file, as my burner can read it, but not my faster CD-Drive,
also Linux always freezes , if I acess my CD-Drive(in KDE aswell), maybe it has sth. to do with its position?(1stIDE/SLAVE)

Ok guys, I had a similar problem where it would get to text-mode, try to find my CD, and then just die. Wouldn't go any further. I had downloaded my ISO from linux.cz, and it didn't work.

I downloaded a new ISO from gatech.edu last night, and frankly... it's installing right now in full graphical mode. It looks like some ISO's are broken. Make SURE to check your M5DSUMs...

A broken iso would explain my problems. I, too, downloaded from linux.cz. If someone has good experiences with their ISOs, where did u download from?

Why not temporarily remove your PCI Geforce, re-enable your onboard AGP video and try the install again. If it works, then after the install is complete, install the drivers for the Geforce, reinstall the PCI Geforce and disable the onboard video.

May be worth a try. ???
