KDE Upgrade questions.

I'm trying to upgrade to KDE 2.2.1 from 2.1.1. I guess because I want to try the new KOffice

Anyway, I read the kde installation help
Install help (http://www.kde.org/documentation/faq/install.html) and am getting some dependency errors.

The help suggests downloading the kdesupport package. My problem is I cant find it? Can anyone help?

Is this a relatively painfree process. This is my first time so dumb it down if you can

kdesupport does not exist for KDE 2.2.1. What dependency errors are you getting?

With the KDE 2.2.1 upgrade for my distro, I installed any libs* first, then qt2 and kdelibs and kdebase. The rest installed in any order.

Last night I upgraded KOffice to version 1.1 and needed to use 'nodeps' to get everything installed.

I guess my question then is... Where do I find the .so files. Are these a part of Qt2.2?

All that the install said was necessary was Qt2.2 and then do kdelibs, then kdebase and then the others in any order. I'm trying to use rpm's here b/c I'm more comfortable with them. If the tar.gz files are any different or better. I can use those.
