for all of you who dont already know there is FINALLY a version of Kazaa (http://www.kazaa.com) for linux. No spyware and no advertisements. Kazaa is bar none the best P2P program since Napster. [IMHO]. So go and download it! It has somebugs so be sure to read the readme!

no prob with konqueror here.
kazaa for linux is extremely rudimentary. Text based, no way to see uploads etc.. not that I'm complaining, any free software is good software.

works for me in opera 6.0 tp1, identifying as msie 5.0.

just ignore that message and go directly to http://download.kazaa.com/kza.linux.tar.gz or if you want the info etc http://www.kazaa.com/en/download.htm (you can only have 3 downloads at the same time, you can't stop/pause downloads, you can't block uploads, in fact you don't even see them - i received a letter from my ISP that my upload was to high cause of kza)
it already exists for a while under linux, though this is still the 1st version for linux, and the windows version is much better.. anyway, they'll probably have to stop, as they have a process at the moment

Naughty boy. ;)
You're fortunate that other member (who shall remain nameless) is no longer here or you'd never hear the end of it. :D

looks like KaZaA for linux is dead. They have nothing on their site for a linux version. They have very bad reputation from what I have gathered on the web. Actually it sounds as though they might be dead soon altogether.

Yes they're having a process/trial/however it's called in English.
As for the crossposting: well, at least I'm sure that it's b0rken now :D

kazaa doesn't work anymore!!!! You can't connect to any servers so having the program would do you absolutly nothing.

Gah! Do we see the problems with having multiple threads on the same topic now! As was already explained in the other Kazaa thread, kazaa for linux is dead so it doesn't matter whether you have the installation file! You can't connect, it be teh dead!
