So I just installed Redhat 7.1. Looks fantastic but I wanted to install ximian gnome.

So I run the installer and it says that that Redhat 7.1 isn't supported...

First of all, I thought Ximian came with Redhat. It doesnt?

Second, has anybody had any luck installing Ximian with Redhat 7.1?

I have had no luck in installing 7.1 (yet), but in preparation of using 7.1 + ximian I read:
edit /etc/redhat-release file
change version to 7.0
I'm not sure if this works.

Ah, interesting... what kind of problems are you having with 7.1?

I remember when Redhat 7 came out and it took Ximian a few weeks to add RH7 to the installer. I'm sure they have to go through checks to make sure everything works with thier installer and software packages. I'm sure we'll see support for 7.1 in a few days or so. If you want to be brave I guess you can try the version trick as stated above.
